Stand In Their Place was created to bring about more awareness for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are undergoing severe persecution simply for putting their faith and trust in Him. The term itself references Hebrews 13:3 which states:

Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. -NIV

In other words ‘stand in their place’ when it comes to the recognition of persecution with intercessory prayer and other forms of engagement. Many Christians that live in countries that allow freedom of religion are still unaware of this commandment which is unfortunate but thankfully that is changing thanks to the several ministries that have focused on persecution awareness efforts over the years such as The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM), Open Doors USA and 8thirty8 .

As the local ‘Persecuted Church Coordinators’ for our church Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene this blogging site is intended to actively promote these and other worthy ministries as well as blog on persecution topics in order to create and advocate a better awareness of the persecuted church throughout our local church family.
